Macau, China, 16 Nov – The government of Macau Monday with Cape Verde signed an agreement to prevent double taxation and income tax evasion.
The convention was signed by the secretary for the Economy and Finance, Francis Tam and by the assistant secretary to the Cape Verdean Prime Minister, Humberto Brito and covers income tax in place in both Macau and Cape Verde.
Francis Tam said he hoped that the agreement would make it possible to boost economic and commercial trade between Macau and Cape Verde and Brito said that it would promote, “greater transparency in tax information between Macau and Cape Verde.”
Macau has double taxation and tax evasion prevention agreements with Portugal, Mozambique, Brazil and China. (macauhub)
