Luanda, Angola, 23 Nov – Angolan public fishing sector company Peskwanza, located in the province of Kwanza Sul, is to be privatised, likely by 2011, the Minister for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries.
Afonso Pedro Canga, who was speaking at a session to discuss the State Budget for 2011, said that the bureaucratic process for privatisation of the company was underway.
According to Angolan news agency Angop, the minister did not explain the reasons behind its privatisation.
The National Assembly, the country’s parliament, is currently looking in detail at the General State Budget for 2011 after giving it general approval last Thursday. (macauhub)
