Maputo, Mozambique, 1 Dec – Norway will start providing financial support to carry out reforms at Mozambique’s Tributary Authority (AT), under the terms of a memorandum of understanding signed in Maputo, the Mozambican press reported.
On signing the document, Norway joined the Tributary Authority Common Fund , which assigns the resources donated by the AT’s partners for institutional reform.
By joining this fund, Norway is committing to providing US$1 million this year, in what will be its first financial contribution for the reform that the Tributary Authority is planning.
In 2011 Norway expects to provide the AT with US$800,000 for the same purpose. (macauhub)
