Brasilia, Brazil, 4 Jan – Brazilian exports in 2010 totalled a record US$201.916 billion, exceeding the previous record set in 2008 of US$197.999 million, officials said in Brasilia.
According to figures published by Brazil’s Development, Industry and Foreign Trade Ministry, imports also set a record of US$181.63 8 billion, exceeding the previous record of US$172.984 billion, which was also set in 2008.
Due to these figures, Brazil posted a balance of trade surplus in 2010 of US$20.278 billion.
In December exports of Brazilian products totalled US$20.219 billion and imports totalled US$15.551 billion leading to a surplus of US$5.368 billion. (macauhub)
