Cape Verdean government approves law proposal for regulating service providers

Praia, Cape Verde, 4 Jan – The Cape Verdean government has approved the proposed law to regulate the services provision sector on the archipelago, the Council of Ministers spokeswoman said in Praia.

The minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Janira Hopfer Almada said that the law aimed to simplify and speed up the licensing process, by reducing decision times and costs.

The law also aims to support micro and small enterprises, according to the commitments made to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and ensure increased competitiveness for the country by boosting economic growth and generating employment. (macauhub)
