Brazil is biggest foreign investor in Portugal in 2010

Lisbon, Portugal, 7 Jan – Brazil was the biggest foreign investor in Portugal in 2010 with over 2 billion euros, said the chairman of AICEP, the Portuguese agency for Foreign Investment and Trade, Basílio Horta.

The biggest Brazilian investment in Portugal was made by Groups Camargo Corrêa and Votorantim, which respectively acquired 32 percent and 22 percent of cement group Cimpor – Cimentos de Portugal.

Horta also told news agency Agência Estado, without giving figures, that, as well as the Cimpor deal, aerospace company Embraer was making a big investment in Portugal. (macauhub)
