Olympic Grupo Angola to start manufacturing pipes for construction sector

Luanda, Angola, 10 Jan – Construction materials company Olympic Grupo Angola is this month due to start manufacturing pipes to increase the supply of the product on the local market the managing director of the company said in Luanda Friday.

Speaking to Angolan news agency Angop, Ali Anis Safa said that the factory had an installed capacity of 3 million pipes per year, or the equivalent of 12,000 tons.

This will be the first time that the company will produce materials of this type, since it launched its manufacturing activities in October 1999. Since the beginning of its operations it has invested over US$1 million.

Created on 21 August, 1997 the company has 70 staff, of which five are foreigners, and it main business is manufacturing galvanized, corrugated and granulated sheets and tiles, and also imports steel joists. (macauhub)
