Angola takes part in international mining resources conference and fair

Cape Town, South Africa, 8 Feb – Attracting private investors to diversify mining production in Angola will be the theme of a presentation Tuesday, at the 16th International conference on Mining Investment in Africa, held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The Angolan secretary of state for Geology and Mining, Mankenda Ambroise, told Angolan news agency Angop that the presentation would, “seek to communicate the government’s strategy until 2025 as well as the general working rules of the sector.”

On Thursday, the last day of the conference, there will be a meeting of the Association of African Diamond Producing Countries.

At the same time an International Mining Resources Fair is being held and attended by diamond company, Empresa Nacional de Diamantes de Angola to inform potential investors about Angolan mining projects.

A source close to Endiama said that the company aimed to attract investors to projects now being promoted (projects that need investors in order to be launched), as well as provide information about the requirements to be eligible to invest. (macauhub)
