Portuguese company Somague awarded another contract in Angola

Lisbon, Portugal, 8 Feb – Portuguese construction group Somague has been awarded the contract to build the Kinaxixi project in Luanda for 85 million euros, the company said in a statement issued in Lisbon.

The statement said, “this contract in this phase includes laying the foundations and building the project’s vertical structure, which will have five underground levels for parking and technical areas, a five floor shopping centre and two 25-storey towers, one of which for housing and another for offices.”

The Kinaxixi MXD Complex will have a construction area of 250,000 square metres and a construction period of 2+16 months.

As well as this one, Somague is carrying out several other projects in Angola, notably the Marina Baía – Obra Terra contract, also in Luanda, worth 20 million euros, which has a construction phase of 15 months.

Somague’s portfolio of work in Angola currently totals over 270 million euros. (macauhub)
