Luanda, Angola, 8 Feb – Investment in Angola’s non-oil sectors in 2010 totalled US$2.37 billion, or 32 percent than the US$1.8 billion posted the previous year, a spokesman said in Luanda Monday.
Aguinaldo Jaime, coordinator of the management commission of the National Private Investment Agency (ANIP), said that re-investments made in 2010 the total investment value jumps to US$4.62 billion.
During the 4th Expanded Consultation Council of the Foreign Relations Ministry, Jaime also said that if the investment repositioning or expansion value in 2009 the total figure reaches US$3.30 billion.
Since 2008, he said, the main approved investments relate to projects in the manufacturing industry, followed by construction and agriculture.
In terms of geographical distribution, Jaime said that the investment has gone to Luanda, as well as the province Malanje, Benguela, Huambo, Huíla, Bengo, Cuanza Sul and Lunda Norte. (macauhub)
