Lisbon, Portugal, 14 Feb – Portuguese company Edifer, in partnership with another Portuguese company, Tecnovia, has been shortlisted to compete for construction of two road projects in Mozambique, a company official said.
Rui de Sousa, chairman of Edifer Desenvolvimento, responsible for the concessions area, told Portuguese newspaper, Diário Económico that the investment outlined for the two concessions was of around US$700 million.
The first tender is for a concession that includes investment, operation and maintenance of National Road 1, between Maputo and Maxixe, over a distance of 470 kilometres.
The second tender is for a concession of the same type to invest in operating and maintaining National Roads 6 and 7, over a distance of 558 kilometres. (macauhub)
