Lisbon, Portugal, 17 Feb – Angola boosted its position of leadership in the African market for TAP-Air Portugal, and was the sixth most important market for the Portuguese airline in 2010, said board member Luiz Mór in Lisbon.
In 2010 TAP generated 51 percent of its revenues from flights to Brazil and Africa, which posted a rise of 33 percent for Brazil and 6 percent for Africa.
Last year 1.4 million passengers used TAP to fly to Brazil and 602,000 to fly to Africa.
Angola boosted its leadership of the African market and was the sixth most important market for TAP in 2010, with the top three places occupied by Portugal, Brazil and France.
In 2010 TAP carried 9.09 million passengers, or 7.7 percent more than in 2009. (macauhub)
