Angola to train Mozambican technical staff in geology and mining

Maputo, Mozambique, 18 Feb – Fifteen young Mozambicans will this year receiving training in the geology and mining area at the Angolan National Oil Institute (INP) de Angola under the terms of a protocol signed Thursday in Maputo.

The protocol, which will be in place for four years, signed by Mozambique’s Ministry for Natural Resources and the INP outlines training by the INP of the young Mozambicans, with the aim of learning about and developing their technical-professional qualifications in the oil sector.

There are several oil and gas prospecting and research projects underway in the Rovuma basin in northern Mozambique.

The INP this year plans to expand the courses it offers and will include the areas of geology and mining, drilling and production, refining and instrumentation, and gas at higher education level. (macauhub)
