Luanda, Angola, 1 March – Japanese bank Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is analysing opening a representative office in Angola, Angolan magazine Expansão reported in its latest edition.
According to the magazine, the information was provided by F. Castelo Branco & Associados (FCB&A), the consulting company working for the Japanese bank.
The source from FCB&A also said that the support that the company was providing the Japanese bank was related to drawing up a report on banking in Angola, which will be the basis on which the bank will consider entering the Angolan market.
The Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation is one of the biggest financial institutions in the world and is present in Asia, Europe, North and South America and the Middle East and is now considering entering the African market. (macauhub)
