China to donate experimental agricultural centre to Angola

Luanda, Angola, 23 March – The Chinese government plans to donate an experimental agricultural centre and a primary school to Angola, china’s ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bolun said Tuesday in Luanda speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola.

The Chinese ambassador also said that Angola’s Finance Ministry would sign more agreements with Chinese banks, directly related to use of the credit lines provided to Angola and also mentioned there were other agreements due to be signed by the two countries.

In his turn, china’s deputy Prime Minister, Wang Oishan, who arrived Tuesday in Luanda on an official visit, was granted an audience with Angola’s president, José Eduardo dos Santos, with whom, according to an Angolan spokesperson, he discussed international and bilateral issues.

China is becoming and increasingly important economic partner for Angola and trade between the two countries totalled US$24.81 billion in 2010.

Financial aid provided by china to Angola for national reconstruction projects totals US$14.5 billion since 2003. (macauhub)
