Maputo, Mozambique, 8 April – A business exhibition of products and services from Mozambique and Portugal is due to take place in Maputo from 13 to 15 April organised by the Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA), said the chief executive of CTA, Alima Hussein.
Speaking to Mozambican newspaper O País, Hussein noted that the event aimed to open up business opportunities in the areas of renewable energy, food and drink, as well as communications materials, and that some 15 Portuguese businesspeople would exhibit their products and services for the sectors in which they operate.
The chief executive of the CTA said that the initiative was part of an existing partnership between the Industrial Association of Portugal and the CTA, which aimed to promote exhibitions of different products and services, with the aim of exhibiting what each of the countries has and produces.
“We also would like this type of exhibition to be a way of attracting investments, via deals that may emerge between Mozambican and Portuguese businesspeople, in the different areas on display,” she noted.
Saying that this was the first exhibition organized by the CTA, Hussein added that the confederation planned in future to organise more exhibitions of other products and services from other places. (macauhub)
