Chinese company re-builds Ondjiva-Santa Clara road in Angola

Luanda, Angola, 11 April – The Angolan government has awarded the contract for re-building and extending the Ondjiva-Santa Clara road in Cunene province to the China Roads and Bridges Corporation (CRBC) for US$5.895 million.

The road is 45 kilometres long and will be seven metres wide after the work is concluded. The schedule for the work has yet to be made public.

Provincial governor, António Didalelwa, said that, “refurbishing this road will complete the Humbe, Ondjiva to Santa Clara section, and bring more economic development to Cunene.” (macauhub)
