Nacala, Mozambique, 11 April – The Bakhresa Grain Milling company plans to invest US$30.4 million in a wheat milling factory in Nacala, Mozambican newspaper Notícias reported Monday.
The factory’s installation is due to be concluded in the next quarter of this year and will have capacity to process around 500 tons of wheat per day.
Agostinho Sunzuane, of Bakhresa Grain Milling, said however that initially the factory would process just 250 tons of wheat a day.
The new milling factory has secured the supply of enough wheat from countries such as Russia, Australia and Germany, for the factory to operate.
Nampula province currently supplies wheat to the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Zambézia. (macauhub)
