Macau takes part in meeting of businesspeople from China and the Portuguese-speaking countries

Macau, China, 31 May – Macau is due to take a delegation to the meeting businesspeople from China and the Portuguese-speaking countries on 20 and 21 July in Luanda, Angola, Macau’s Institute for Investment Promotion (IPIM) said.

The meeting is part of the cooperation protocol signed by the trade bodies and chambers from the seven Portuguese-speaking countries that take part in the forum for Economic Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries (Forum Macau), held for the first time in October, 2003.

The initiative, organised by the Angolan chamber of Commerce and Industry, China’s Council for Promotion of International Trade and by IPIM plans, amongst other things, to carry out seminars, working meetings and contact events.

As well as the programme organised by Angola, the Macau business delegation is due to take part in two seminars, one in Cape Town, South Africa, and another in Maputo, Mozambique, both organised by IPIM and by its counterpart in Guangdong province.

The six previous events attracted over 2,690 companies from China and the Portuguese-speaking countries. (macauhub)
