Praia, Cape Verde, 8 June – Cape Verde’s Gaming Inspectorate or the central services for supervising gaming and gambling is due to be presented Thursday in Praia by the Ministry for Tourism, Industry and Energy, according to a statement published by the Cape Verdean press.
The statement also said that during the same session the Framework Law regulating gaming would be presented, as would the inspectorate’s website.
“It is the government’s aim to make gaming and gambling an alternative tourism product and make use of a favourable climate, which has translated into an exponential rise in the number of tourists in the country,” the statement said.
The Cape Verdean government authorised the launch of a tender for a concession on gambling on the islands of Santiago, Sal, São Vicente, Boavista and Maio. (macauhub)
