Maputo, Mozambique, 16 June – Mozambican state hydrocarbons company ENH and state oil company Petromoc have signed an agreement to carry out joint complementary projects, Mozambican state newspaper Notícias reported.
The agreement aims to develop joint projects in the areas of research, product, transport and sales in Mozambique, of liquid and gaseous fuels, as well as implementing a system to supply the international market with hydrocarbons produced in the country.
According to the chairman of ENH, Nelson Ocuane, the primary aim of the company is to discover hydrocarbons but, considering that research activities take a minimum of eight years, it needed to partner other companies that, with their activities, make it possible to generate resources for re-investment.
He noted that all the companies operating in Mozambique’s energy sector were inter-linked in some way and that the cooperation needed only to be made official through a protocol. (macauhub)
