1 July 2011

Maputo, Mozambique, 1 July – The Institute of Mozambican Directors Thursday in Maputo presented the Mozambican Corporate Governance Code that outlines the principles that should rule business management in the country, Mozambican newspaper Notícias reported.

Adopting a code on corporate governance will improve credibility and confidence of the market, contribute to attracting investments and promote economic development, with medium and long term benefits for all those involved.

The Institute of Mozambican Directors is a private non-profit organisation that aims to promote corporate governance in Mozambique.

The Institute of Mozambican Directors represents chairmen, directors and other top executives at companies and organisations in the public and private sectors, as individuals that make a significant contribution to the progress and development of Mozambican society. (macauhub)
