Luanda, Angola, 6 July – The 28th edition of the Luanda International Fair (Filda 2011) Angola’s biggest business fair, is due to be held from 19 to 24 July of this year, the chairman of the organising body said Tuesday in Luanda.
According to Matos Cardoso, cited by Angolan news agency Angop, this year’s edition will for the first time be attended by Kenya, Indonesia and Cape Verde and is expected to attract at least 40,000 visitors.
The fair, the theme of which is “The Challenges of Attracting Investment,” has a total of 23 countries signed up and over 650 exhibitors.
Filda is a business fair that every year since 1983 has brought together national and foreign entrepreneurs to exhibit their products and services, as well as to contact potential business partners.
The fair is being organised by FIL, a publically-owned company set up in 2007 to promote the potential of the Angolan market and to attract direct investments.
The fair venue is set up in an area of 3.4 hectares. The exhibition area has five pavilions of sizes ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 square metres. (macauhub)
