Sao Paulo, Brazil, 12 July – The Federation of Trade of Goods, Services and Tourism of the State of Sao Paulo (Fecomercio) is due to hold a seminar in August on business opportunities in Mozambique, the federation said.
The seminar is held in partnership with the Brazil-Mozambique chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agri-Livestock (CCIABM) and will be attended by international trade specialists and the Mozambican authorities.
In its announcement Fecomercio said that the similarities between Mozambique and Brazil went far beyond climate and language, given that the African country is also notable for its economic and cultural potential.
The seminar is expected to be attended by, amongst others, the Mozambican ambassador to Brazil, Murade Murargy, the chief executive of CCIABM, Rodrigo Coelho de Oliveira, and speakers from mining group Vale, Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Económico e Social (BNDES) and the Dom Cabral Foundation, a centre for development of executives, businesspeople and public sector managers.
