Bissau, Guinea Bissau, 14 July – The French embassy in Guinea Bissau is due Thursday to sign six protocols with non-governmental organisation in the country to fund development projects worth 191,000 euros, the diplomatic representation said in a statement published in Bissau.

The support from France is aimed at projects to improve, “the life of the families of members of the association of women horticulturalists,” access to healthcare to reduce the neonatal mortality rate, as well as literacy.

Improving access to treatment by women with the AIDS virus, combating the stigma and discrimination faced by these women, carrying out projects to support fishing and dressmaking, are the other aims of the support provided by the French embassy. (macauhub)
