Angola’s Taag airline flies to Cuba

Luanda, Angola, 19 July – Angolan flagship airline Taag announced that last week it had carried out its first commercial flight between Luanda and Havana, Cuba.

The flight was carried out using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and carried 249 passengers.

According to Taag’s chief executive, Rui Carreira, the first commercial flight was carried out using the airline’s newest aircraft on 13 July and took 12 hours and 24 minutes to reach Cuba.

The new Boeing aircraft were recently acquired by the airline in order to fly on its main long-haul routes and have 293 seats, 12 of which are in first class, 56 in executive class and 225 in economy class.

Taag currently has a fleet of 12 aircraft and flies to 29 destinations. (macauhub)
