Luanda, Angola, 26 July – Angolan company Angoflex, located in the Barra do Dande area of Angola, plans over the next few months to increase its daily production of steel pipes for the oil industry from 500 to 1,000 units per day.
According to Philippe Monti, the company’s managing director, the rise in production was directly linked to the needs of the oil sector in terms of oil and gas pipes.
The company, which also welds 150-metre sections of pipe, uses raw materials that are mainly imported from Mexico, Brazil and France.
The tubes manufactured by the company serve basically to inject water and gas into the oil wells drilled in deep water. The Dande factory is a partnership between Sonangol and French group Technip.(macauhub)
