Nairobi, Kenya, 29 July – The governments of Kenya and Angola have signed a two-way air services agreement that will allow Kenya Airways to increase its flights to the Angolan capital, Luanda, the Kenyan press reported.
Kenya Airways thus plans to increase its number of flights per week to Angola from two to three and will also be authorised to fly to South America via Luanda.
For its cargo operations, Kenya Airways will partner Angolan airline Taag when it buys its first Boeing 747 cargo plane later this year.
Kenya Airways started flying to Luanda in August 2010 with two flights per week and Angola’s Taag has a code share agreement with the Kenyan airline for the Nairobi-Luanda routes. (macauhub)
