Angolan company with Chinese partners invests in industrial park in Bengo

Bengo, Angola, 3 Aug – Angolan company Ridge Solutions, which is partnering Chinese investors from the province of Anhui, plans to set up an industrial park in Angola’s Bengo province costing some US$200 million, Angolan news agency Angop reported.

The group has so far invested US$20 million in building a ceramics factory that is now in its concluding phase and, between October and November of this year is expected to produce 200 tons of clay for 44,000 bricks and 12,000 roof tiles per day.

The factory’s director, Wilson Silva said that the factory would have the support of Chinese specialists for its launch.

According to Silva, new factories are currently being built in the area, specifically a furniture factory costing US$20 million and a glass factory covering an area of 55 hectares with capacity to produce 300 tons of glass per day.

The start of construction of the glass factory is scheduled for November and work is due to be concluded within two years. (macauhub)
