Portugal’s Mota-Engil to build housing project in Angola

Catete, Angola, 4 Aug – Portuguese construction company Mota-Engil has been contracted by Angolan oil company Sonangol to build 500 social houses in Kassanzo, Bengo province, Angolan news agency Angop reported Thursday.

The pilot project will house low income and mainly rural families from the region, creating better housing and hygiene conditions.

The project will mainly be for the populations living in two villages, namely Kassanzu and Honga-zanga, in the Cabiri commune, which is three kilometres west of the municipality of Icolo e Bengo (Catete).

The village of Solar de Cabiri will cover an area of 100 hectares and is expected to be finished in August or September of 2012. (macauhub)
