Maputo, Mozambique, 10 Aug – A Mozambican business mission is due to visit the Chinese province of Henan in search of business opportunities and to establish partnerships as part of the official visit by the President of Mozambique to China, the Mozambican press reported.
As well as visits to several economic projects, the business delegation made up of some 30 businesspeople from a variety of sectors, including the agricultural and industrial sectors, will also take part in a seminar on business opportunities and investments between Mozambique and Henan province.
“With this mission we aim to establish partnerships between businesspeople from both countries and bring the knowledge of the Chinese to Mozambique,” said Rogério Manuel, chairman of the Mozambican Confederation of Economic Associations.
In the first half of this year, Mozambique exported goods worth US$94.6 million to china, as compared to imports of US$320 million in Chinese goods in the same period. (macauhub)
