Sao Paulo, Brazil, 19 Aug – The Brazil-China Chamber of Economic Development is organising a mission to visit and exhibit at the China International Fair for Investment and trade (CIFIT), held from 8 to 11 September in the city of Xiamen, in the Chinese province of Fujian.

With the aim of re-stating its position as an international benchmark for deals in the investment market, the organisers of CIFIT are heavily promoting the fair abroad, and last June a delegation from the fair had a working meeting with the board of the CBCDE.

At the meeting the chairman of the CBCDE, Fernando Ou, signed a cooperation agreement with CIFIT’s organisers, in which the CBCDE reserved an area with 6 stands, which aims to encourage participation by Brazilian institutions and businesspeople in the 15th edition of the fair.

CIFIT, which is sponsored by the Trade Ministry of the People’s Republic of China, is currently one of the biggest international fairs for promotion of investment and is the only investment event approved by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI).

The previous edition of the Xiamen Investment Fair had the participation of 144 exhibiting countries and regions in an area of 60,000 square metres and attracted 15,000 foreign visitors from 130 countries and regions, with delegations of 600 foreign institutions and 45,000 Chinese institutions from the main provinces of China.

According to official information, the 15th edition of CIFIT plans to promote international trade by presenting investment projects, business meeting, forums and consultations on government policies, as well as publishing a variety of news and information. (macauhub)
