Curoca, Angola, 24 Aug – The governor of Angola’s Cunene province has announced that work on the 130 km road between Cahama municipality and the Curoca municipal seat in Oncocua commune will begin in January 2012.
Governor Antonio Didalelwa said that financial and technical conditions were being created so that the project could go ahead as planned.
Traffic is now difficult on many sections, so the road’s upgrade will boost the municipality’s socio-economic development, Didalelwa said.
Curoca municipality is located 333 km northwest of the provincial capital Ondjiva and has an estimated population of about 45,000, distributed in the communes of Oncocua and Chitado. (macauhub)
