25 August 2011

Maputo, Mozambique, 25 Aug – The travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller has chosen Vamizi in the Quirimbas Islands in northern Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado province as one of the world’s most fantastic places to spend holidays.

The magazine’s list includes 13 other sites. Vamizi is known as a top location for diving, with crystalline coastal waters marked by irregular terrain that hosts hundreds of marine species.

The resort on Vamizi has 13 villas. The island’s tropical forest contains monkeys and over a hundred bird species.

The global tourism publication highlights Vamizi as a spa destination, as it also offers a broad range of classical relaxation treatments such as shiatsu and reiki and other local ones that use products made from Indian Ocean minerals and algae. (macauhub)
