Brazilian group Tramontina to sell its products in Mozambique

Maputo, Mozambique, 5 Sept – Brazilian group Tramontina is due soon to place some of its 17,000 products on the Mozambican market, initially under the terms of a partnership agreement with Mozambique’s Premier Group, Mozambican newspaper Notícias reported.

The Tramontina group, which is based in the city of Carlos Barbosa, in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of domestic utilities, such as tools, electrical materials, furniture and kitchen equipment, has 10 factories and is represented in 120 countries.

Notícias said that Tramontina entering the Mozambican market was part of the strategy of the group’s board of directors to increase its presence in Africa and that Mozambique was one of the target markets due to its cultural similarities to Mozambique. (macauhub)
