Angolan group H&A to build mineral water bottling unit in Malanje

Luanda, Angola, 6 Sept – Angola’s H&A group plans to invest around US$4.5 million government is set to invest US$75 million in building the first mineral water bottling unit in Quéssua, Malanje province, said the group’s managing director, Humberto Cunha.

Speaking to Angolan weekly newspaper Expansão, Cunha said that work would begin in October, although the study to assess the quality of the water had already been carried out by the laboratory of the Ministry for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing, in partnership with Luanda water company, Empresa Pública de Água de Luanda (EPAL).

The equipment to be used at the bottling unit is from the United States and the work due to begin in October will involve cleaning the area and the water source and assembling the metal structure where 63 people are planned to work.

The new company of the H&A group plans to place 330 ml, 1 litre and 1.5 litre bottles of water on the market and expects to bottle 131,000 litres of mineral water per day.

Once the project starts operating, Malanje province will have three mineral water bottling units. (macauhub)
