Maputo, Mozambique, 12 Sept – The “Janela Única Electrónica,” (Single Electronic Window)” project is due to start being introduced in the first quarter of 2012 at the port of Maputo, Mozambique’s Finance Minister, Manuel Chang said.
During a visit to the new facilities of the Data Centre and Operations Centre for the Single Electronic Window at the port of Maputo, the minister noted that the venture aimed to speed up customs processing of goods at the port.
According to Mozambican daily newspaper, O País, Chang gave assurances that by 2012, customs processing would be easier for all operators that use the port of Maputo.
The project is also expected to be introduced at other ports in Mozambique, as the port of Maputo will the first to benefit from the venture. (macauhub)
