Angola to start exporting liquid natural gas in 2012

Luanda, Angola, 29 Sept – Angola is due to start exporting liquid natural gas (LNG) to the United States when the first liquid natural gas processing unit starts operating in the country, the director-general of the Angola LNG project, Daniel Rocha said.

Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola Tuesday, Rocha also said that exports of a large part of natural gas production would begin in the first quarter of 2012, initially to the US.

The director-general of the Angola LNG project said that the company was analysing the possibility of exporting natural gas to other markets, specifically to Europe and Asia, where he said, “we can get better profit margins.” (macauhub)
