Lisbon, Portugal, 14 Nov – Hörmann Portugal, a subsidiary of Germany’s world leading gates, door, frames and automatic operators group is preparing to enter the Mozambican market, the company’s managing director told Portuguese financial daily Diário Económico.
Henrique Lehrfeld also said that the company would now put together a shortlist of companies for “partnerships, as part of a process that has the potential to be as successful as we are in Angola,” and which is due to be finished in the next few months.
Hörmann Portugal, unusually for the German group, already directly manages the Angola operations, noted the managing director of the Portuguese subsidiary.
“The large Portuguese construction companies are working in Angola and have a strong presence there and information that we were receiving about the market led us to make a proposal to the group in Germany for Hörmann Portugal to manage the operation in Angola, unlike the group’s global model,” Lehrfeld said.
