15th edition of Cape Verde International Fair open until Sunday

Mindelo, Cape Verde, 17 Aug – The 15th edition of the Cape Verde International Fair (FIC) opened Wednesday in Mindelo on the island of Sao Vicente, and has a total of 90 exhibitors include both Cape Verdean and foreign companies as well as 140 stands, according to the Cape Verdean press.

The chairman of the FIC, Luís Cardoso said that the fair aim to give exhibitors the possibility of exhibiting their products and services, with the aim of encouraging business deals, knowledge transfer, and to promote trade.

The FIC’s area is split into the industrial segments of machinery and equipment, construction, housing, transport, electro-electronics, information technology, agri-business, retail and services, handicrafts, and others.

The FIC, which will run until 20 November and is entitled, “15 years promoting business in Cape Verde,” according to Luís Cardoso is the country’s largest international trade fair and involves a variety of sectors and has exhibitors from a number of countries, though mainly from Portugal and Brazil.

For this edition, the FIC’s partners, coordinated by the Barlavento Chamber of Commerce, have prepared a number of parallel activities of both business and cultural interest for both national and international exhibitors and visiting professionals. (macauhub)
