Luanda, Angola, 17 Nov – Angola’s Finance Ministry Monday launched the State Suppliers’ Website, as part of the first phase in the process of certifying state sector service provides, Minister Carlos Alberto Lopes said.
Cited by state newspaper Jornal de Angola, the minister said that having a record of State suppliers was essential as it made it possible to update its database with a view to optimising relationships with suppliers.
The minister noted the need for everyone who does or has done business with the State to take part, as well as giving assurances that there would be opportunities for new suppliers to have access, on an equal basis, in this current phase of improvement and modernisation of Public Services.
Lopes noted that the suppliers’ website would ensure closer relationships between the State and its service providers, ensure equality in selecting potential suppliers and, once companies have been identified, a faster hiring process.
S2C Serviços e Comércio, Lda, a company that provides office supplies, was the first company registered online and the Finance Ministry said that the first step for registration of required information would run until 15 February, 2012.
The website can be found at http://www.fornecedores.minfin.gv.ao and http://www.minfin.gv.ao/fornecedores, where interested companies can fill out a supplier form and follow existing instructions and recommendations. (macauhub)
