Brussels, Belgium, 22 Nov – The European Commission has authorised Angolan airline Taag to operate in the European Union using two Boeing 777-300 aircraft, the Commission said in a statement issued in Brussels Monday.
“Thanks to improvements in performance in terms of safety, airline Taag Linhas Aéreas Angolanas is authorised to operate in the European Union with two aircraft,” Brussels decided based on a report from the European Air Safety Committee.
However, the European Commission maintained the rest of Taag’s fleet on its black list, along with the remaining certified air carriers in Angola.
The same ban was maintained on certified airlines from Mozambique. (macauhub)
