Portuguese construction company Teixeira Duarte awarded 56.7 million-euro contract in Mozambique

Lisbon, Portugal, 1 Dec – Portuguese construction company Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções (Moçambique) has signed a contract with the Bank of Mozambique worth 2.203 billion meticals or 56.6 million euros, the Teixeira Duarte group said in a statement.

In a statement published by the Portuguese stock market regulator, CMVM, the Portuguese group said that after the project involved demolishing a building (former Casa Coimbra) and construction of two other in downtown Maputo.

One of the buildings is intended to house offices for the Bank of Mozambique’s headquarters and another will have a variety of uses, including a parking area and another for offices and services. (macauhub)
