Brazil’s Embraer to deliver three Lineage 1000 aircraft to China’s Minsheng Financial Leasing

15 February 2012

Singapore, 115 Feb – Brazilian aeronautical company Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica (Embraer) has signed an agreement with China’s Minsheng Financial Leasing to deliver three Lineage 1000 executive jets, the Brazilian group said at the Singapore Air Show.

Embraer and Minsheng Financial Leasing, one of China’s largest jet leasing companies, in July 2011 signed a memorandum of understanding through which the Chinese company made its interest in buying Embraer’s executive jets official.

Ernest Edwards, Embraer’s director for executive aviation said that the agreement that had been signed boosted the existing relationship between the two companies and added that, “this deal, which was signed after the order for 13 Legacy 650 last October, is proof of the recognition and trust that Chinese customers have in Embraer and its products.”

As well as these three Lineage 1000s for Minsheng Financial Leasing, Embraer has also sold three other units in Asia, to non-identified customers in India, China and Indonesia.

Based on the Embraer 190, the Lineage 1000 aircraft has autonomy of 8,334 kilometres and can carry 19 passengers. (macauhub)
