Lisbon, Portugal, 16 Feb – The Chinese group Huawei has invested 10 million euros in the new technological support centre that opened on Wednesday in Lisbon, said the director of Huawei Portugal, Pedro Ferreira.
“The accumulated investment in Portugal is 40 million euros,” Ferreira said during the opening of the centre, which may eventually hire 50 engineers per the company’s needs.
The new centre “is a solid company investment in Portugal,” he said, highlighting the cooperation on the project with Portugal’s Trade and Investment Agency (AICEP).
Before the inauguration, the Huawei Portugal director signed a document with AICEP establishing a strategic partnership between the two entities. (macauhub)
