Accumulated gross gaming and gambling revenues in January and February in Macau rose 28.3 percent to 49.325 billion patacas (US$6.165 billion), the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (GICB) said.
In February alone gross casino gaming revenues totalled 24.286 billion patacas, an increase of 22.3 percent on February 2010, but were lower than in January when the total was 25.040 billion patacas.
In 2011 gross gaming and gambling revenues in Macau’s casinos totalled 267.867 billion patacas (US$32.904 billion).
At the end of 2011 there were 34 casinos in Macau, 20 of which were owned by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, three by Venetian Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, three by Melco/PBL Jogos (Macau) and one each by Wynn Resorts and MGM Grand Paradise. (macauhub)
