Chinese company CITIC starts building 3,000 houses in Lobito, Angola

The construction project for 3,000 houses in the Angolan city of Lobito, in Benguela province, began last Friday with work to clear the ground, delineate plots and receive materials, according to the municipal administrator of Lobito, Amaro Segunda Ricardo.

Cited by Angolan news agency Angop, the administrator also said that the contractor, China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC), a subsidiary of the group with the same name, already had all necessary equipment on site.

As well as construction of the 3,000 houses, which will be located in the north of the city, the municipal authorities also plan this year to build ten houses in each commune (Canjala and Egipto Praia). (macauhub)
