Brazil’s Embraer delivers 204 aircraft in 2011

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer delivered 105 commercial airliners and 99 executive jets in 2011, and it net revenue for the year totalled 9.858 billion reals (US$5.803 billion), the company said in a statement issued Tuesday in Sao Jose dos Campos Tuesday.

In the fourth quarter, according to the statement, Embraer delivered 32 commercial airliners and 50 executive aircraft, in a period in which China’s Heibei Airlines became the latest operator of Embraer executive jets.

Also in the fourth quarter Embraer posted a net loss of 171.6 million reals, but for the year as a whole posted a profit of 156.3 million reals.

Amongst the deals made last year the company noted the sale of 13 Legacy 650 jets to Minsheng Financial Leasing, of China, and the nomination of Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan to be the brand’s ambassador. (macauhub)
