Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, Embraer announced Monday in Shanghai it had delivered the first of 13 Legacy 650 jets, with capacity for 14 passengers and a range of 7,223 kilometres, ordered by Chinese company Minsheng Financial Leasing Co. (MSFL).
Minsheng and Embraer also closed a new deal for the acquisition of three Lineage 1000 aircraft with capacity for 19 passengers, a bigger range and costing US$43 million.
The Minsheng Financial Leasing Co. Ltd. (MFSL) was set up in April, 2008 and is one of the financial leasing companies authorised to operate and regulated by the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC). MSFL, which was acquired by the China Minsheng Banking Corporation Ltd. (CMBC), has total registered capital of US$944 million.
Embraer, which has recently been selling large aircraft to Chinese airlines, has a factory in Harbin. (macauhub)
