Hilton Hotel to open in Luanda this year

In the next six months the Hilton Hotel is due to open in Luanda, Angola following an estimated investment of US$75 million.

The announcement was made by Angolan group Chicoil, which signed a partnership agreement in Luanda with Namibia’s United Africa Group, which represents the Hilton brand in Africa.

The Chicoil Group launched a national hotel chain in Angola under the Chic Chic brand. In 2009, the group’s first hotel unit was opened, in Menongue and called the Kambabe Lodge Tourist Complex.

In 2011, the group took four new hotel units to the market, located in the city of Namibe, in Luanda, and Lobito. By the end of this year the group plans to open Chic Chic hotels in Saurimo and Lubango. (macauhub)
